I was just curious about something. I am interested in buying the sheet music for John Denver's "For You." Sheet Music Plus has the single for 3.95 + 2.99 shipping, 5 pages.
Or, I can buy the John Denver Anthology for 16.75 at Amazon, free shipping if I spend 25.00 (and there is always something else I can buy) which has that song plus several others. Is there a reason I should buy one over the other? Would the song be shortened in the book? Thanks.

Hi Corwin120, the main reason to buy the anthology is if it contains other songs you think you might like to play at some point. The arrangement for "For You" should be identical if you buy it singly vs. in the collection.

There are times when all I really care about is the single piece, so I really like being able to order just one. But I will also confess to thinking "hey, just 12 bucks more and I'll get all these other pieces, too." End result: way too much sheet music I'll never get around to learning! \:D

I always buy the book instead of a single sheet music. The book is better bound and lasts longer. Also you will, sooner or later, try some of the other songs which perhaps did not appeal to you at the beginning but sometime down the road become more interesting.
