Thats been haunting me for about a month now!

Melodies or melodies plus lyrics ? Hundreds of the former and hardly any of the latter, although I need to qualify that with the remark that it is most often isolated phrases I remember rather than complete melodies.

i went to the House on the Rock in '93 and haven't been the same since.

I sometimes "try" to imrpovise off a repeating bass line (like simply chords like Am, G, F, E) and oftentimes I am kept awake hearing this in my head, though usually new ideas of how to improv. off of that. It sucks when your brain is better at piano than your fingers. I will get there soon.

I also get alot of Bach's piaces stuck up there. Ususally when I don't know how one part goes all the way, like where the dominant part changes, and the ear tend to follow it instead of keeping to the same part (like the pedal in an organ piece). I have memorized alot of his music (not to play, just listening wise).

Oh, I wish I was an Oscar Meyer weiner...

Schnee Shnow Schnappy ( I don't know if this is how to spell it but you get the gist) Somebody has caused this song to climb to the top and it must be stopped. The only problem is those three words are the only ones anyone knows....My goal is to learn the whole song and sing all of it to the next person I hear singing that part... hopefully it will get it out of their heads

Then there's "Feliz Navidad". I must have heard that 2 to 3 times a day at Christmas time. When I turned on the radio in the car - "Feliz Navidad", when I walked into a store - "Feliz Navidad", when I turned on the radio in the car to go home - "Feliz Navidad". On top of that my preschoolers class sang it in their Christmas program so she of course had to "practice". Do you ever feel like some of those songs follow you around!
