Alrighty, this poem is being reserved for Carolynnn, and here is the excerpt - talk about getting the best out of Frost! (one word added in []'s to not create pronoun confusion within the excerpt.

She'll be on the forum soon i think!!

==================8<==============================

THE IMPULSE

It was too lonely for her there,
And too wild,

She was free,

With a song only to herself
On her lips.

She strayed so far she scarcely heard
When he called her—

And [she] didn’t answer—didn’t speak—
Or return.

He never found her, though he looked
Everywhere,

Sudden and swift and light as that
The ties gave,
And he learned of finalities
Besides the grave.

I don't understand, she's a friend of yours so you're reserving this poem for her? If so then the more the merrier, I say welcome aboard wherever she is

Hello!
I'm new to this site, and Kieran was helping me decide which poem I should use for compositional inspiration! He just reserved it for me under his account because i didn't have one yet! I'm delighted.

I'm also delighted with his rendition of "Sarabande" from Debussy's Pour le Piano
a work I'm studying this semester
(he's playing it for me right now)

Hopefully he'll sight read through the Toccata next!!! hehehehee*snicker*
