It is called Disrhythmia because of its strange and complex rhythm. Actually, it is a set of two piece, each studies in rhythm, tempo, and touch. Call them etudes \:\) The first is like a crooked dance, followed by the second which is slow and heavy,,, morbidly scary too (sort of wrote it to play during halloween)!

Now, unfortunately since I wrote it yesterday, I havent had time to learn it. Yes, this is a computer record (awful too!) but it's all I can scrounge. And those of you who are composers know how much worse music sounds on Sibelius of Finale! The two pieces are on the same recording. You will hear the end of I followed by a short pause then the beginning of II.

Comments? Critisisms? Wanna see the sheet? If you wanna know more, I'll tell you!

Hope you enjoyed.

I like the first one, the second strikes me as lugubious rather than scary. So I'll confine my remarks to the first one. You're absolutely right that the stilted rhythm of Finale is what kills this performance. A real performer could have real fun making the rhythms come to life, indeed that would be the challenge. Getting these rhythms to flow freely could make the piece quite effective, though it's hard to tell if the harm, onic structure would contribute to that effect with this recording. Needless to say I'll look forward to a recording of YOU playing it.

Interesting style. I agree with Steve Chandler, a real recording would bring those rhythms to life.
