i'm having trouble with being able to turn mealodies or chord progressions into an enertaining piece, is there any sites, or suggestions you could give me? i'm still just "learning the ropes" in the world of composition, and i think if i can learn to do this, my ability will improve greatly

One immediate step up but not quite making it into a "piece" yet: try different inversions of each of those chords. Do it in such a way that the top notes sing something nice (or as nice as possible).

If there are definite problems, add more top notes to bridge between these chords.

And there you should have the basic "minimal" foundation to work on your melody (which I suggest you seek guidance from somewhere else or from posts that will come after mine).

Good luck \:\)

I find it sometimes helps to try thinking up lyrics first and see if those suggest a melody. (The words don't have to make sense - you can always remove them later \:\) )
