I hope this will work, I just set up this account. These are a set of circus pieces I wrote, I'd love feedback from real composers. If you have any desire to take a look or pass these on to a student you teach I can email you the set in pdf if you send your email. Thanks in advance! I love this site and listening to everyone's stuff. www.box.net/shared/p7h39ohgc8 this link now works ETA: please forgive my cruddy performance! I have TERRIBLE performance anxiety, esp. when recording

Thanks for trying! I think I may have got it right now. However the tracks are out of order and unlabelled. So, they should go: track 1 Lion tamer track 2 bareback riders track 3 snake charmer track 4 juggler track 5 clowns track 6 knife thrower track 7 fortune teller track 8 trapeze artists (partial) track 9 exit/finale tracks 4-7 are the best IMO, if you are pressed for time, but all are short (a minute or 2 each)
deleting link, I tried it and got some other gibberish...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr still working on it

All I get is a notice that there are no shared files...

I find these rather attractive. I am reminded, for some reason, of Milhaud's "Household Muse" and "Madame Bovary" but you have your own style.
I found myself wanting all pieces to be longer, but as they are is still good.

Circus' freak me out. Scary places!
I like the variation of harmony. I quite like the quasi Thomas Newman sound in places.
The only thing I would like is a bit more variation in style and they were all a little short. A bit of thematic development and contrasting styles then you'd be on to a winner!

hey, D. Pub., I just wrote you! That's funny. Anyway thanks for the feedback everyone, and yes, more length would be nice, melodies/development are not my strong suit obviously. Well, and I was aiming for a younger "clientele" for these so I wasn't even attempting an epic carinval saga. ha! Thanks all
