Hey, i decided to come back to composition, it has been a long time, i was kinda turned off from the all thing. Anyway some feedback is needed here! http://www.mediafire.com/?acjl2nbzfjx Piano piece i'm doing right now, just 1.15 seconds so far, pretty simple but enjoyable i think, no liszt here! http://www.mediafire.com/?b1dyfdnkxje An elegy(for piano and string trio) i posted here some time ago, i decided to rework on it and i think it sounds fairly nice. Tkx in advance.

I like the first piece despite the lack of strong thematic material. The harmonic progressions are very interesting.
I'm noticing the same with the Elegy, interesting harmonies, not much in the way of melody. Is it your intent to be a minimalist? Also both pieces are rather dark, have you written music that is not melancholy? I like the harmonic shift to the lighter side near the end of the Elegy, but then it goes back to melancholy.
If I was making light of the situation I might suggest staying away from sharp objects, but my biggest concern is the lack of perceived theme. That may be the style these days or when you learned composition, but for me themes are like characters in a novel. They are what make me care about the music. I heard a lot of drama in your music, but without strong characters I don't care. The composers job is to make the listener care.
Good luck.

Tkx for listening, well i'm a big arvo pärt fan so i try to "hide" the themes, and yes i'm a bit of a minimalist eheh
Actually the elegy has a motif that is repeated a lot of times, with the cello, viola and violin, i think it's the programing that takes away from it.
And no, i have not written anything that is not dark so far, i don't know, it's just the music i seem to like. Anyway tkx for listening and for the advices!
