I would like to say I have only been playing 3 years, i am self taught and have no infulences I can think of. so give me your opinion and share it if you like.

Keep at it,

Either take theory lessons or get a harmony text. A basic working knowledge of harmonic progression will make your music a lot more interesting, and allow you to create more interesting melodies. I never got the sense of structured harmonic pacing from your playing, or any sense of traditional resolution.

It's true. I always thought that harmony meant only the left-hand chords, and that being able to write a melody and being able to write chords were completely seperate skills. They're not -- being able to write good chords helps to write better melodies, and being able to write good melodies helps to write better chords.

Some good sounds coming through but I echo what has already been said here; the harmony needs some shape and dimension.

It sounds like a rhapsody, almost like improvised cocktail jazz music.

Some dynamic contrasts would help the work to have a better shape. It kinda feels a bit wandering with no real direction; it's just notes rather than music.

But well done and something to keep working on!

The youtube description describes it as an improvisation rather than a composition (the latter normally implying some planned structure).

As an improvisation, there are definitely interesting elements - almost reminiscent of a rag (style, not bit of cloth).

On the other hand, if it was a conscious planned composition intended to sound like a spontaneous improvisation, then it's absolutely spot on

Very good for only 3 years. However, it sounds as if you are holding down the sustain pedal through the whole piece,which makes it sound a little mushy (in other words your notes are all running into each other). This was a mistake that I used to make until someone suggested I try not using the sustain pedal for a while so I could focus mainly on getting the tone quality good without having to use so much pedal. I would make sure your phrasing and pedal work is done a little more carefully to match the phrasing or measure lengths in the piece. Not doing so can make a piece sound like it doesn't harmonize well, when in fact it is the sustain running notes together that do not work well together creating a lot more dissonance.
Keep at it. I also taught myself to play and I know how hard it is and how much work it can be. Do you sight read music or play by ear? I was looking at the post on Self taught vs. lessons? Best suggestion: Practice, Practice, read, read, read, watch, listen, repeat.

I liked most of it, I found it a little long.
If I were you, I would take out your favourite parts and reform the piece using a rhythm which compliments the melodies you have.

It is an improvisation, isn't it? Or do you have a score?

You play really well for only three years. You can't beat Hannon for finger strength. It will give you more control in tone and rhythm.
