Hey, here are the first ten measures of my music theory final. I need to write 32 in standard SATB format. Tell me what you think! I'll finish composing the rest over this week and post it here, but I want feedback as I write so I can modify things before the day it's due on Monday. I have my whole chord progression written, I just need to voice the whole thing. One link is to a midi, the other is to a pdf. Oh, and once this is all done I'll probably be posting a real recording from my keyboard, but I'm not gonna bother recording till it's all done. http://www.4shared.com/file/75300831/ddaae488/Music_Theory_Final_SATB.html http://www.4shared.com/file/75300829/ca6a5dfb/Music_Theory_Final_SATB.html Edit: I realize there are a number of spots that look like very, very blatant parallel fifths, but they're actually unequal fifths, as in perfect 5th, diminished 5th, then perfect again which is acceptable. I believe I have two hidden fifths in there, but they're in there because it was the best solution for good voice leading.

John, You said it was due Monday, is that the 15th? If it is, then i'm sorry. I don't know why I kept skipping over your post, but I know your file was downloaded ten times, why nobody gave you feedback, I don't know. I thought it was really strong, and I didn't see any problems in it. It reminded me of Liszt. The melody was good, and I especially liked the way the triplets fit into it. I hope you did well on your final.

Sorry, I saw it before but didn't really have anything intelligent to say. It is nicely done, though.

Also, it looks more like piano music than SATB, no?

Maybe folks didn't think it ethical to help with someone's final.

Haha, I already knew what to do for the final, I got an A on the final and have a very, very high A in the class over all. before the final I was only 20 points away from an A, and the final was worth 200 points. :p . and it looks like piano music because I'm a pianist and I just think in those terms, but it does follow all the standard SATB rules. I never posted the rest of this since no one replied, but I'll post the final version now, all 33 bars. http://www.4shared.com/file/78110834/bcbff97c/_2__Music_Theory_Final_SATB.html http://www.4shared.com/file/78110845/84f95f2d/_2__Music_Theory_Final_SATB.html
