Hello people,

This is something i recorded on my piano. It is a roughly 10 minutes improvisation that just sounds eerie and scary to me, reminiscent of darkness and confusion, even when i listen to it now. Please do take a listen and turn up the volume otherwise you will not be able to hear it properly.

You'd probably get more/better feedback if you posted it in a more accessible format like wav or mp3.

The sound quality is pretty bad and there's talking in there somewhere. Musically. there's some interesting harmonic stuff going on, but it seems to just meander about. The overall texture doesn't change much nor do the dynamics. I'd say this would be a good opportunity to pull what you think to be the best ideas out of this and develop them. BTW, I don't hear darkness, but I do hear confusion. Was darkness and confusion what you were going for?

Steve! It was more like expressing my feelings which was then something more like confusion and brooding and yes, darkness.

I think, i just think that it goes along the same line as some Rachmaninov Preludes if i were to develop it.

But the main idea is to listen to it exactly how it is, with the talking at the back and the background noise, not to concentrate on the actual melody and/or harmony, but the effect it creates.[/b] Don't examine every note and how it links, but just listen to it as a whole.
