This is not an original thought..but curious how you feel about child prodigys.. and the possibility they/(we??) are remembering from former lives earlier training. In the last few years, I came to feel I was a German hymn writer in the l880s working in a cold church and felt sad that no one seemed to appreciate my work. In this life, I collect hymnals and asked for one for my 14th birthday. Even though not particularly religious, I love a lot of church music.

In that case, I would have to consider myself an undeveloped Liszt. :p No, but seriously, I feel attached to different points in time, but could never really place my finger on any one that I may originally have been from. I tend to think this means I have a distinct desire to live in a time that is not my own, and so probably consciously or subconsciously suppressed the thoughts to the point where I can no longer recognize them. Now, I try to live "in the now" and forget I had a past I may or may not remember, because in the end, what history I had is exactly that--history. But what future I make is still before me to be decided. Now, I believe that our past gives us a footing from which to step forward into our futures, but I also believe that an unnatural obsession with it will hold our feet firmly when we should be stepping forward, and ultimately we will trip and fall...and for some, may ultimately fail to ever get up again.

The two composers I feel closest to are Bach and Cesar Franck. I have no idea what that means with regard to past lives (another idea I find value in) perhaps I knew those two?
I don't think past lives should be much of a concern in this one, otherwise we'd remember them. If there are past lives we forget them for a reason, each incarnation is individual, you only live one life at a time. Live this one to its fullest.

The two I feel closest to are Chopin and Liszt, so I guess that makes me George Sand! Seriously, I've had recurrent "memories" of two deaths, one of a Russian foot soldier in WWI, and the other of a child in the London blitz, for years.

No evil history teacher. The business about the blitz started when I was a small child. I would have recurrent nightmares about it. When I finally made the connections, as a teenager the nightmares stopped. The Russian one began when I was an exchange student in Quebec and experienced the high lattitude summer phenomena the Russians call white nights for the first time.

If you ever have a chance to have a past life regression with a good hypnotherapist it can totally change your life. I've had several and been trained to conduct them as well by Henry Bolduc in Virginia. A wonderful world there. Another amazing thing is the life between lives documented in the writings of Michael Newton Ph D in Journey of Soul and Destiny of Soul. WHen we are attracted to a time/place its usually significant in terms of a former life.
