I have seen Big name Guitarist like Steve bay,and others
Giving Classes or at least Master Classes for Big money,

Are there Big name piano Player that give piano classes ?
and what are the Cost?
And have you been in one? who is it and how much?

I've been "victim" in many, so called 'masterclasses' by old and famous war-heroes in conservatory, many of which didn't contribute to my development al all, mmm, but a few did, and they were marvellous, f.e. Lazar Berman, the late
russian master, or Earl Wild, the late American wizzard, and we pupils studied our fingers off our hands, our hands off our arms, our arms off our bodies, etc, to meet these giants, I once asked the institute's director when the next masterclass was to be expected, he said: not for a while, money has run out, and this is a renowned institution, so I presume the costs are considerable, I give my 'masterclasses' for free, that is, lodging-food-drinks-travelexpences , which is sometimes even too expensive...

I inquired about lessons w Oscar Peterson about 15 years ago and the price was $250/hour.

The best master class I had was with Stephen Hough.. I remember I played Amy Beach's Tyrolean Valse-Fantasy, this completely off-the-wall piece of American concert music. He had never played it or even heard it, of course, but he mustered even more enthusiasm for it than I did! He really changed my mind about how to approach unusual repertoire.
