I want to load up the kayak and head to the lake, drown a few worms, sit on the deck and have a stogie with the summer sun bearing down. I want to sweat a little without having to workout. Oh Summer, please hurry; patience is truly a virtue!!!

It's sunny here the past two days. I think we're breaking records! 2 days of sunshine! But, still cold. Most of the snow has melted so, that is a very good thing.

I saw where your weather looks awful down there Ron. But, my friend, you can have it. Please keep it for awhile okay? We want what Chicago's weather is predicting. 50's by Friday!

Can't get the bold thing to work.

No ice axes nor wet suits needed at this pool. My home is a 1.5 minute stroll away behind the clump of trees in the background. I had a quick lunch-time dip today. grin grin

That girl on the left in this picture looks like she's practicing to do a belly flop.

Jeees! What a bunch of whiners!

... OK. OK. I just climbed out from under a pile of snowballs and ice chunks hurled in my direction.

Here in Maine we've learned to celebrate temperature diversity and precipitation adversity. We had two feet of snow last week, and an additional foot yesterday. Do we complain? No. We enjoy it while we have it. By mid-August it will all be gone!

Here's a picture of our cottage by the road.

Here's one of our other cottage by the water.

Here's a nice sunset.

As you can see, these were taken in the spring while there was still snow on the ground. Last spring, actually other than the sunset which was taken last summer.

JDelmore - I'd love to send you some nice refreshing snow in August, but unfortunately Maine has (as I read it) a unique-resources law that forbids out-of-state shipment of things like moose droppings and snow. Bummer!
