Yep, and that's the problem: Verdana, the most readable typeface, is stuck in the Style that is least readable for anyone who has trouble with light type on a dark background.

Trebuchet should be put into a trebuchet and flung from the premises IMHO! cool

I'm also wondering if there is greater incompatibility with Macs. I use both Safari and Firefox, and since the new software, I spend most of my time waiting for threads to load, and sometimes they don't even load after I've gone away, made a coffee and come back! On rare occasions, loading is quite quick, but most of the time, it just takes forever to load. In the past, I just need to click refresh a couple of times, and the thread loads very quickly, but now, nothing works.

For example, I have been trying to login to my userid on Firefox in the background for the better part of an hour, but it keeps loading half-way and hangs there. This is driving me nuts!

Also, trying to increase the font size manually is not the point – the default should be in a readable font/size.

For some reason I have been unable to post using Firefox, even though both IE and Opera work fine.

Bolding is glitchy. The regular pair of codes (with the lower-case "b") isn't recognized properly, but it will work if you replace the lower-case "b" with an upper-case "B": like this.

I like the new PM'ing setup with being able to address 5 other members using one click! I think it will be adventageous for setting up PW gatherings! smile

I did test it out yesterday and tried to sneak in 6 members instead of the instructed 5. Then it didn't allow me to correct and I had to delete.. sort of like a punishment! But I was guilty as charged! frown

I followed the advice and changed the number of posts per page under My Stuff/Edit Preferences and the pages load up great!

The pages are much easier to read now. smile

And the font are all 10 point. 12 point would be better for many of us.

It works on Safari for me. What version do you have? I have the latest, whatever that is. smile

Version 3.2.1. I think it gets updated automatically, though I'll have to check that out.

That's the version I have. Are you running Tiger or Leopard? I'm running Leopard. Of you are still with Tiger, that might be the problem.

I've noticed that I've lost a lot of the graemelins (? emoticons)- lots of little blue boxes with question marks instead of the variety I had before. I'm also a Mac user (Safari) and don't know if this is the issue, but I haven't noticed anyone bring this up previously.
I haven't yet tried Firefox, but am hoping I don't have to.

Safari does the same thing for me. Firefox is my primary browser, and it works just fine with avatars and graemlins.

I am indeed still running tiger on my laptop. I should upgrade. I'll check to see if the ? in a box problem also operates on my desktop. I think it is a problem there as well, and if that is the case it's not an OS version problem, but a problem with the whole Apple platform. Kinda crazy in these days to be designing software that won't run well on Apples.

When I log on with MSN, my main portal, I can't change the size of the fonts in posts. With Firefox, no problem.

Any suggestions (other than use Firefox).

Only my legacy PMs from the old interface are in random, and randomly changing, order.

Others are saying that new PMs (created or received since the update) are in the customary reverse-chronological order, and that's my experience, too.

Steven

p.s. Steve Cohen, Susie's eye is shrunken anew to its former dimensions! (And yet my crazy Wain cat still looms large.) I have no idea what's going on with the avatar sizes!
