I've been learning this piece this week. I finally got through it - yay. There's still some dynamics, tempo and overall smoothness to be worked on...

I used Synthogy Ivory in this recording.

Hi again! I think you need to check out your URL...something's messed up in it that keeps it from being recognized as a link by the forums software.

Hey Abster,

That was excellent. Very clear with a good differentiation of melodic line. The tempo was smooth as well.

Thanks epf & Manndrew for the nice comments. It was pretty hard to do noticable subtle accents with digital, they ended up too loud or too low. I'm going to record this again maybe sometimes next week on my acoustic piano, but I have to do it during the day =(

Very nice!! I'll be waiting for the acoustic recording. wink

One thing, though: That big chord that comes towards the end should be played as a block chord (not rolled) if possible.

Thanks Horowitzian,

Yes, the last big chord shouldn't be rolled. I recorded this 10 times or so, because I always had something went wrong. The last recording had everything correct, but I don't know why I rolled the big chord! I was too tired to do another recording. It was very productive exercise though.

That's OK! At least you are capable of playing the chord as a block. smile We all make mistakes. mad

Good luck on your next recording session!

The "big chord" near the end is, I wouldn't mind betting, out of most people's reach. My hands aren't particularly small but I can't manage that low G in the left hand.

bzw, Ab-ster, I enjoyed your Träumerei very much smile

I know it's out of mine. frown I invert the chord, so the G is 8va. smile

I can play the LH chord with 431, but if I couldn't I think I'd rather roll it than bring the low G up the octave.
