the only ones i get are when my organist pastor yells at me in frustration.. he really is a perfectionist and quite the perfect player.

If you're looking to take lessons and are near Kansas City, you might check out UMKC, which has an organ department - Dr. Jon Obetz used to be part of it, but he has probably retired now. Years ago (I won't say how many), I took private voice lessons there with a PhD candidate, and the price was pretty reasonable. Since the lessons aren't actually part of the university, you shouldn't have to worry about out-of-state tuition.

You also might want to check out KU, in Lawrence. Dr. Mary Ellen Sutten was head of the organ deptartment (last I heard). Before she finished her doctorate I sang in a youth choir for which she was the accompanist. Anyway, KU may also offer private lessons or group classes.

Hope this helps
PC (currently studying piano & piano pedagogy, and daydreaming about getting back to the organ)

you know, i never thought of actually taking lessons.. i'd love it. i have such wonderful books to learn from....

i just haven't thought of actually studying under someone. I should because i can practice. (and that is a rarity).
you have really tempted me now..

(wondering if i can get another supplemental job to pay them) heh
