I was considering a new HP-207 listed at $3165 (seems like a good price already) or a floor-model HP-207 for $2950 (didn't seem low enough for something that they claim had been out for 6+ months). But I found that I liked the feel of the yamaha better, and after adding 8% sales tax to the roland (in a different county than the yamaha), it felt like a better deal. Oh, and I didn't even consider the CLP-380, mostly because of how much more expensive the polished finish is.

I probably could have negotiated a lower price had I read these boards, but it seemed $3k for a CLP 280 was a good deal. Considering the CLP 380 didn't feel or sound any different but listed at $7k (whatever). I don't think I could have gotten a CLP 380 down to $3k, and the step down from 380 to 370 is big. I love the instrument.
