Can voicing remove ringing in bass strings?

I have a brand new Kawai RX2 grand. Some of the bass notes produce a "ping" type high ringing as well as the fundamental. The fundamental tone is there, but is spoiled by this ringing. Can voicing fix this problem? I heard it in the showroom and assumed it was a voicing issue.
I have other postings about this in the forums and don't want to overdo my questions and I will get a good tech out and let the piano settle as has been suggested. (It is not a damper issue as the ringing happens at the attack with dampers OFF the string)
I am simply and interested amateur tuner and pianist who is extremely interested in why pianos do such things.
Thanks!

....I have other postings about this in the forums and don't want to overdo my questions and I will get a good tech out and let the piano settle as has been suggested.... Then why do you start five threads (count 'em, and that's only on the tech forum!) in short order, all about the same piano and similar/related issues? Take some of the good advice you have received, relax, work with your techncian and dealer, relax, stop worrying and don't forget to stop obsessing. Oh yes, did I mention relax? It will all be fine. You have chosen a brand whose company is known for taking excellent care of their clients. Best of luck.

oohhh........... didn't mean to offend. Sorry. I though it best to have seperate threads, so I would receive relevant answers to each question, which is actually a different issue. I often get lost in these forums and I am new to this.
I have just paid out a fortune ( to me) for my piano , and want it to be as good as it CAN be, and that does not mean I want it to be as "good" as a Steinway or Bosendorfer,(and they are not perfect either) as I will never be able to afford one anyway!
I am interested in what tuners and techs actually DO to make pianos better. I am aware of the huge lack of prep that goes into new instruments, either at the factory or in the dealers showroom. It is not fair for us innocent customers who place our trust and hard earned money (and retirement funds!) with these dealers and salespeople to buy pianos of dubious quality and preparation.
I am also trying my best to learn how to navigate around this forum too. Half the time I get lost and cant find a post....
But time and experience will help me learn.
Please have patience with me...and thanks for your comments, but please dont tell me EVER again to "let the piano settle!". This won't make the ringing in the bass go away! lol
Cheerios my friends and thanks greatly!

Thanks - I have taken the advice and I wait for my tech to come, but interested as to WHY my piano is doing what it is doing from a technician's point of view. I have been interested in pianos since I was 12 years old. I'm new to these forums, and often get a bit lost. I won't relax or play the piano properly until I either get this one fixed or buy another one. If I have to spend more - God help me!

That's interesting, I am perfectly happy working with my more "obsessive" customers.
They're the ones that tend to have the nicer pianos, which I enjoy working most on. They care about the sound, and are grateful for my skills, and the attention I give them. I tend to get to know them better than the ones who just have me in/out.
I am just careful to set up the proper expectations with them about how far they are willing to go, what I believe I will be able to provide, and for what cost.
