Is there a correlation between Alfred Basic Adult method books, one through three, and playing level? Say, for instance, beginning book number two, is about playing level two?

Last time I saw this discussed the concensus was that finishing Alfred 3 would put you around early intermediate. I doubt it will correlate to the various grading sytems because different things are covered. For instance In the UK I've heard you have to play a piece you've never seen before (in theory) by sight reading even at grade 1! Something you never have to do in Alfred.
