Hello, all. I am new to this composition dealie, so don't expect much of me grin Here is a small piece I've so creatively named "Prelude in Eb minor."

http://www.esnips.com/doc/bdc04dba-9a50-4f9e-bb00-e9ce5c8c578d/Prelude

I used FL Studio 8, so please excuse the bad quality... Any feedback is welcome grin

I like this! Given that it's only in two voices I'm impressed at the extent of harmonic firmness (yet decorated with occasional pleasant surprises) you have established. I find it hard to write contrapuntal music, and I find it especially hard to maintain the consistency of the harmonic vocabulary in it, and I think you've done a pretty good job at both! Thanks for sharing and keep writing. smile

This is very nice -- I like the thematic development and the use of harmony and counterpoint to move the piece along. Well done!

Back with another small piece (I'm frustrated that this is all I seem to be able to create, and this one somewhat reflects that)

I'm no expert in this field, so all I can say is that I liked them both. I think the second one should be slightly slower in my opinion. It reminded me a little of Chopin's 8th Prelude.

Very gifted! Bravo to both of them!

I'd love to hear them played by a human (They sound quantized, apologies if I am wrong)

Can you put up midi-files of them?

"I am new to this composition dealie, so don't expect much of me."

It's been my experience that most people who excuse themselves with a disclaimer are most of the time actually very good, and this illustrates that once again. I think you could actually fool many non-connoisseurs if you told them some composer from the past had written your prelude, and maybe even your presto. smile Good job! The harmonies were very interesting.
