Our own Cecil Ramirez (long time member and M&H national rep)...

Cecil Ramirez will be appearing as the musical guest on the morning TV show "Sacramento and Company"

Tuesday, March 31st

9:00 - 10:00 AM

Channel 10 Sacramento

Hello!

This note is to let you know that I've been invited to be the musical guest tomorrow morning on "Sacramento and Company" with hosts Guy Farris and Melissa Crowley. I'll be playing short pieces of music from the album throughout the show (going into commercials), leading up to an interview and a performance of one of my songs in the last segment of the show. If you live in Sacramento and you're near a TV set tomorrow morning, I hope you'll take a minute to tune in to Channel 10 between 9:00 and 10:00 AM.

If you don't live in Sacramento, you can still watch the show via video stream on the internet. Go to www.sacandco.net around 9AM PDT (10 AM mountain time, 11 AM central time, and 12 noon eastern time) and click on the words "Watch LIVE". Your browser will go to a new page and the streaming video of the live show should appear on that page.

This will be my first time on a morning TV show and it's pretty exciting to be able to share my music with a television audience. The show producers talked with me today about details for tomorrow's show; they're very positive and I'm looking forward to working with them. While we couldn't have a live audience in the studio, I'll be thinking of all of you as if you were there. If you see the show, please send me an email and tell me what you thought.

See you tomorrow morning!

Cecil

I just watched the video from the link that Frank posted above.

SUPER JOB, Cecil! I am happy to see you get such good exposure for your new CD. Hopefully all the PW members will become fans too!

Lilylady: That is a Roland 88-note weighted action synthesizer workstation. It has a very good grand piano sample, plus all sorts of other neat sounds. It would have been nice to see Cecil performing on a M & H CC, but that presents some logistical challenges.

I've had the chance to hear Cecil at a couple of M&H tours and he sounds much better in person and on a PIANO.

Cecil, if your reading this thread...what happened to that finger???

Nice job and congrats...hoping the best for you...

Hello everyone - sorry for the late reply. I didn't know I was a topic on the Forum until Frank sent me the posts.

Frank, thank you for taking the time to check the video stream and for posting about me on the Forum. 'Gotta plan a trip to South FL so I can visit you!

Lilylady, thanks for watching, for putting up the links to my YouTube videos, and for your kind comments. As PianoPeddler wrote, there were some significant logistical considerations in doing the show with a M&H piano. So this time out, I went with a smaller version of my concert rig.

The Sacramento & Company people have expressed an interest in having me back on the show in the future; now that I know the layout of the studio and the load-in procedure, I may be able to bring a smaller M&H piano with me at that time. My Model BB would not fit in the demo space assigned for musicians.

PianoPeddler, thanks for checking out the show. What city were you watching from? :P Hope your travels are going well.

CTPianoTech, how's it going? Thank you for checking out the show. I appreciate your kind comments.

MonsterMH, you asked one of the most popular questions I've gotten about the show. While cooking dinner for my wife this past weekend, I had a "knife-related incident with deep implications" that required me to wrap up my finger. I neglected to inform the hand-held camera guy that my left hand was not as TV friendly as my right hand. 'Wish I had done a better looking bandage wrapping job; it would have been less TV friendly without the bandaid.

I hope you all enjoy the rest of the week.

Cecil
