Is there anybody around you started the violin as an adult? I used to learn it as a kid, for 1/2 year until I lost my parents in an accident and I am thinking about starting it again. I'm somewhat torn between "would love to see how it goes, what I missed" and "don't want to give away from my piano time".

I started a few months ago and I'm having a blast.
I played for a couple of years at about age 10/11, but now in 54 and learning Suzuki method with a teacher and using a teach-yourself blues book for fun.
Go for it. What have you got to lose?

I will try, definitely. I'll get a violin in summer and will then get some lessons. I'm afraid, I've lost just about everything I learned as a kid and need a teacher to set me on the right path, but I hope that things will come back fast.
Do you like the Suzuki method? Do you remember the method from which you learnt before/what are the differences and which do you consider more appropriate?
