RD-700GX USB problems with Leopard

Hi, I have been through this with Roland and they have not come up with anything so far. I have an RD-700GX and when I connect to my Macbook Pro via USB, 2 RD icons come up, which means that every note I play is recorded twice, creating an out-of-phase sound. I have tried silencing the second note in Digital Performer by clicking on Remove Duplicates, and on the Roland by turning Local Off, but these don't seem to work. I'll appreciate any thoughts on this. Thanks.

I'm using the RD-700 GX connected to the Mac Pro (OS X 10.5.6) via USB, with no problems. However, I'm running under Cubase 4.5.2. That would seem to point to a configuration or installation problem. Where are these two icons appearing? If in System Preferences / Audio MIDI Setup, you should only have one, and have somehow installed the USB driver twice? (Just a thought).
