Hello,

I figure the techs should be able to answer this question. Does anybody have the specifications for the May Berlin, i.e., Pin Block, Sound Board, Action, Hammers, etc....they claim to use all Schimmels parts, is this true?

What are some techs take on this piano? I like the tone but not sure how it will hold up to the American Climate. Thanks.

The May Berlin line of pianos is built for Schimmel by a factory in China. The instruments are then shipped to Schimmel in Germany for final detailing and boxing for export. They are built to Schimmel design and materials specifications. Most European manufacturers utilize actions from Renner. Most use Delignite or similar pin block material. IMO the May Berlin pianos rank up with the best comming from China along with Hailun, and Yamaha products from their factories in China and Taiwan. No worries that I can see re American climate. Schimmel is very experienced with moisture content issues related to distribution in the West.
