how do/did you cope with your big bad left hand? (if you ever had one)

my right hand sounds like a little baby bunny playing in a field and my left hand is like a big fat elephant stomping on the cute little bunny.... now I only have a dead bunny and a big obese elephant who, gets fatter when ever I play in front of people. why can't I have two bunnies?

my teacher says I will learn how to control my left hand in time but, I want it now. frown

does anyone know how to deal with left hands?

Guitar, played right-handed of course. I've recently begun practicing guitar seriously again, and I've noticed I have improved control of the LH at the piano. smile

hehe, maybe I should start takeing guitar lessons then. smile
but I already type with my left hand (only my left hand) and that has not helped me.... so maybe guitar won't help either, maybe my left hand is just beyond repair.

It's not your left hand it's your left ear that's the problem. Listen with the other!

What KK is saying makes a lot of sense. My teacher has made the same suggestion to me to solve specific problem areas in a piece. I've been listening to the wrong hand. Give it a try!

I'm left-handed, and my left hand used to overpower the melody. Now it doesn't, but I didn't really need to do anything particular; the balance just came with time.
