If I hadn't spent so much money on my trip to Colorado, I'd be there.

Have fun everyone (I know you will), and don't forget to take lots of pictures, including the all important group shots.

Make sure everyone plays too, no excuses.

When I was in Colorado I played in front of Jeffrey Biegel (concert pianist, recording artist, composer)[ www.jeffreybiegel.com ], and Steve Barta (jazz pianist, recording artist, composer, author) [ http://www.stevebartamusic.com/recordings.htm ]

Larry, if I don't see you before, I'll see you around the 4th of July when we come up that way for a wedding.

Looking forward to the get together and meeting up with new piano friends. We will miss you Frank, and the MH tour.

I am making herb filled meatballs as I write. However I just thought of the problem of heating them at the party. Does anyone have an extra heating unit (like a crock pot) that they can supply for sure? Or an other idea other than eating them room temp or cold (which are also good!)?

Please respond here or PM me.

Thank you.

No, no, no....Frank...

That will just not do!

You'd be the only one to get to eat them there...

and besides....these are reserved for the players attending - past players please do not apply!

HA HA HA!

Well, and anyone who wants them - but you must BE THERE.

Somehow, I am not sure that there will out do my SALSA but we'll see!

Seriously though (sorta),
I'm testing out Skype, hopefully later tonight with a member in Australia.

And, there's a chance my friend Kathy will be here this weekend.

If Larry has a web cam and a Skype hookup, we could "drop in" :-)

Hi Frank,

My laptop does have a web cam. I have never used it but I could probably figure it out.
Skype, on the other hand, what's that?

I'll google it and check it out.

BTW Frank, I don't know that we have ever had a gathering with out you?

Skype is a free program for video conferencing.

We are trying it out because there are some people who would like to use it
for teaching lessons to students from across the country and around the world.
http://www.pianoworld.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/1178359

I tried it tonight with a member in Australia (thanks Rob), worked great (except I couldn't figure out how to make myself look thinner).

My Skype id is pianoworlddotcom

Sorry I won't be there in person, could have made it if I hadn't spent the money on the Colorado trip.

What a great get together!

We missed those who couldn't attend and enjoyed meeting those attending for the first time, as well as, seeing familiar piano friends.

Tis true - Great friendships get formed at these piano parties. I think it might have to do with our common obsession with the piano. Right?

Nice 8 ft plus Schimmel to play, food spread was wonderful, host Larry and hostess Terrytunes outdid themselves.

Thank you both for putting on another great PW party!

One big thing was missing though. FRANK!
No, not one BIG thing, one thing BIG!

Unfortunately a laptop was left behind and the skyping was not possible, but...you were there in spirit and we did do the group pic before too many had left - just for you!

I'll share some pics for you, Frank, and friends of PW that must be wondering what all the hallabaloo is about!!!

Host Larry showing pianos in the shop.

[Linked Image]

Mr. Smoothy, Eric Gloo, 441 who is shortly turning 79 and wooooos us with his smooth playing

[Linked Image]

John Citron who always plays as if we were his concert audience

[Linked Image]

Woodfab, who along with his brother Pianoshel reminds us that one does not need a written page to play the piano 'fab'!

[Linked Image]

Paul, who is not a member here but should be. Great player and teacher.

[Linked Image]

Rustyfingers who is anything BUT rusty played Joplin's Bethena and A Grieg piece.

[Linked Image]

Axtremus always shares some of his own compositions which are appreciated.

The Cape Cod Guys took a day to visit...the three of them have held PW parties at their homes.

[Linked Image]

Member FoxyW (foxy woman!!!) has only been playing for about a year, and shared a nice Ecossaise.

[Linked Image]

Beelady has had her hands full caring for a Shriner's Burn Baby and brought her along for us to meet. So sweet, and although she doesn't understand English, she understood music and bounced her head back and forth to the rhythm.

[Linked Image]

You attendees need to help me out with his name please - I enjoyed his playing and conversation...

[Linked Image]

Soon to be member Evelyn shyly played at first...then wowed us with several pieces (was it the wine?). She is anxious to meet other PW members and is joining.

Little Alanna won our hearts over as she attended past MH tours and PW parties. What a cutie she is and she performed for us, as did other youngsters.

[Linked Image]

At 3 and a half, one twin played Twinkle Twinkle!

[Linked Image]

And Little Rustyfingers did a 'sad' version of O Tannenbaum that she arranged in a minor key.

[Linked Image]

We had a couple of Duets for the first time

Terrytunes and Rustyfingers attempted for the first time to play Beethoven together - was this fun or what?

[Linked Image]

and Evelyn with her teacher Paul played some Schubert

[Linked Image]

I know I missed a few photo opts but will close with the beautiful ARTCASE STEINWAY that Larry will soon be working on

[Linked Image]

Ya just never know what you might see at PW parties!

[Linked Image]

This is not the first time that we have observed Terrytunes on her knees looking at a piano...

Might this be on your bucket list TT? laugh laugh laugh

Nice party, nice people.

So sorry I forgot the laptop after all that. Hope you weren't sitting by your computer, Frank. Oops.

Thought you might enjoy a little sampling of the sound. This is Jeremy Gloo playing something like "Little Man Who Does Too Much" for Larry. http://www.box.net/shared/7dbmrt7102

Here's choochiefingers playing "Dead Christmas Tree".
http://www.box.net/shared/1oge1prrfo

It was nice to see old friends and meet new ones.

Thanks to Larry for hosting and Terry for doing her party thing! Lots of inspiring playing today!

Ok, I'm still waiting for someone to sign into Skype ....

Looks like a great party, as usual. Sorry we missed it, I see a lot of our old friends were there.
Thanks for the pictures and the recordings.

Terry, I really like your T-Shirt :-)
