Janssen Player with electrical outlet

I've recently purchased an antique Janssen player piano. It has no electrical hydraulic system for the player action, but it does have an electrical outlet built into the back.
Has anyone heard of or seen this feature on a player piano before and have any idea what the outlet is for? It is a standard socket outlet.

This is a conection for the vacuum source to the player mechanism of the piano.
