Hello! I am looking into buying a 1963 Jesse French piano. Does anyone have any insight into this piano? Thanks! Is this a spinet piano? I've been told to stray away from spinets.

In all seriousness, Jesse French pianos were made in New Castle Indiana and apparantly they were not known as great instruments even when they were new. Given the age of this instrument you are considering, its fair to say based on my personal experience with this make (I speak as a teacher and not as a tech) that there is a good chance that there will be issues with the key action failing (this might already be implied by the seller as he mentions "sticky keys". Yes, the one you are looking at is a spinnet.

You can do much better than this... you'll likely spend more in repairs than the piano is worth. As a teacher I'd rather see someone get a usable used digital piano for a few hundred dollars than an older accoustic piano is contact need of repair.
