Thanks for posting that, kenny. I tried to get it to load yesterday from another forum I visit and it was so slow I gave up. Pretty cool. I love it when we discover that other animals have rhythm, a sense of number, use tools, care for their sick and lame, etc. We're one big world Cathy

I love the vocals. Clearly he is saying "more cowbell!" in cockatoo.

This is so cute in deed!! Some say that music is strictly a human activity, but I never thought so. Seeing this has me more convinced. I used to have cockatiel, and he had such a personality! (Although, I think this bird is a cockatoo).

This clip made the news on CNN the other day. Fabulous! Of course animals respond to music. I had a cat who used to hate Beethoven. Or maybe she just hated the way I played it—she would jump on the bench, jump on the keys and bite my hands. And—true story—a regular customer of mine at the castle where I play has a huge mixed breed dog who howls whenever I play anything from Phantom of the Opera. It's as if the dog knows the entire score. The dog's owner plays the CD for him at home.
So there you go.
Thanks for posting this video!

...and one of my dogs comes and sits under the piano whenever I play Beethoven. Not Bach, not Chopin, not Joplin.
She also dances, but she must be hearing some kind of music inside her little doggie head.
I have had dreams about dancing elephants, but who knew there was really such a thing in the world. Stay tuned, they're going to find out plenty more about this. If dogs can smell a tumor, maybe they can smell a hit record...?
