I'm looking for the recital medals so I can add to my count. This has probably already been answered somewhere but I just can't seem to find them. blush

I always wondered what those symbols were for.

Can I get a bit more explanation? Is there a vote for the best recitals or something? I assume the winner gets a metal?

Everyone's a winner, everyone gets a medal - that's the law around here, pahdner smile

Some people wear all their medals, some use a "collective" medal when they get to 10 recitals, some of us are so short and weak we don't wear our medals, but we do hang the big one on the office door once a quarter.

Copper does the big ones for us, kawaigirl and - yikes! I'm not sure! - Rich? (dragonpianoplayer) do the signature ones (Rich does a small piano for live recitals, anyway).

Apologies for it being *early morning* for me (10:19 am) and spacing on our sig medal designers - but that's the basic story, any way.

Howsomever, we often get a map with markers for everyone who partcipates and I haven't seen it yet this time. But I think I read that Copper's been kind of backed up -

StatsMan,

It is pretty straightforward.

The red dot recital medals are awarded for participating in the ABF quarterly recital. There is a gold medal for 10 partipations in the recital.

In addition, we have piano awards for someone who has participated in a live recital.

I’m guilty as charged.

I meant to get to it.

This was the first week in over 6 months that I actually completed all my treadmill workouts! I’ve been working to become a Certified Flight Instructor – kind of a grueling endeavor.

Anyway I got the certificate a few weeks ago and have since caught up on most of the stuff I’ve been putting off. The permanent certificate actually came in the mail today.

Maybe, finally I’ll get to the map this weekend.

wow I remember when you had just earned your ILS certification, and now you're about to become an instructor!

Great work, Copper! thumb

Congratulations, Copper. Maybe you should give yourself a medal for this, too smile
