Does anyone have an opinion about an old Walworth full upright made by Schultz company? Does this make have good initial quality? I cannot afford anything but an old full upright so I am trying to get one that at least has lasting power. This particular piano has a nice, rich sound still after 100 years! I will have a technician take a look, but I would also love to hear from anyone with experience with this particular make. Any comments will be helpful. Thank you.

Hi Galina,

Here's a little historical information for what it's worth.

Walworth was a name used on pianos made by M. Schulz Co., and discontinued in 1921. M. Schulze Co. (Chicago, IL) produced pianos from 1895 through 1933.

Rely on your technician. There are too many variables for any substantial opinions to help you from here, other than typically pianos this old often aren't worth much. There are occasions when one is worth restoring, but again, talk to your tech.
