Can anyone tell me if its possible to move a rest in Sibelius First? I'm using a Mac and the software insists on putting the quarter rest at the end of the measure. I need it in the middle. If I insert a rest in the middle, it takes the value from the previous note, rather than removing the rest at the end. Ahhhh!

I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you wanting to put the rest in a middle beat, or simply move a rest so that visually it's more aligned in the center of the bar. What's the time signature?

You can always cut and paste the "offending" (without the misplaced quarter rest at the end) notes to an empty measure, insert a quarter rest in the original measure and then cut paste the final four beats back into the measure.
