I have received a message from a well-known source that preliminary plans are underway for a 2-day piano gathering on beautiful Old Cape Cod.

Added following note from novalinda (one of the hosts)...

"It's official. The date for the Piano Party is Sat. Oct.10. It will be in Orleans on the Cape and hosted by the same trio as 2 years ago.
The Sun. Oct 11 brunch is still not set in stone. The Howes would like to host it again but are waiting on their children's regatta schedule.

To answer some previous questions. It usually begins around noon and goes to whenever. The time distance from Providence is about 1 1/2 hours.

I'll post more info as we have more planning sessions.

We will have 5 more guests from central NY who are not members but hope to come. If so, they are fine musicians and good listeners (and good cooks).

Hope many more will be coming. Just 3 1/2 months away. It's a great time of year on the Cape.

Linda Gloo"

i think we have family weekend at yale that weekend, but if the schedule allows, i would love to be there, since i'll be in the vicinity (or at least, closer than montana!)

i'll pencil it in and hope it will work out.

if it turned out to be the following weekend, it might be easier to commit, but again, it's a pencil, not a pen, at this point.

Bump.

Come on Folks, this is a great Time!

Think about it:

~ Cape Cod in the Fall
~ Pianos To Play
~ Fellow Pianist to Hang out With
~ Great Food & Drink
~ Beautiful Scenery
~ Beaches & Sand Dunes
~ Lighthouses
~ The Canal
~ Quaint Bed & Breakfast Inns
~ Good Company

Geesh, it's a no-brainer.

Put your name on the list, you'll figure out how to
get there in time.

Testing for Frank -

It is now off the Piano Forums page and I had to hunt for it.

Odd that a few others were able to respond to it before me.

I think they responded before I made it a forums-wide "announcement".

Apparently you can't reply when it's set up that way.

I was just trying to spread the word to the other forums, as not many people think to look here.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

So, Lilylady, are you joining us?

We need to get people replying to the tread to get an idea
of head count. Plus, we'd like to know who is coming.

I am going to try! Loved it when I was there before.

It is a little early for some of us to commit. I still have my whole gardening season in front of me! And fall jobs.

BTW, Eric, your response was very timely with the Michael song title.

It shows October 2009 on mine.

Sorry Pique', it's still Columbus Day weekend.
Hope you can make it.

If we get the whole gang together again, we can have
Perri, Kerri, Terry, and Jerry in one room again.

I'm still waiting to hear back on the dates.

It's under 2 hours from Providence, and a beautiful ride, particularly if
you take scenic route 6A.

We are planning on coming up from S. Florida.
