Hi Everyone,
I am thinking about purchasing a Kawai piano which is about 10years old a Kawai 902M. It has been tuned regularly and the individual wants $3,000 for the piano. Please let me know about this particular model and if the price is fair.
Thanks

The Kawai 900 series was the top of the line furniture styled console piano. It featured high styled integral legs and boxed lid top and additional cabinet adornments. They were tall for consoles 46" and equaled studio performance. They were built in Kawai's Lincolnton, North Carolina factory. The 902M was the Mediterranean Oak style. Back then they would have retailed on a discount basis for about $4k. The comparable current model would be the 907 series.

Not much to say in that Marty was quite thorough in his assessment. If the furniture criteria floats your boat,I would say it is a fine piano. 3K is kinda high $ in that it is still a console not a higher performance uprt. wink
