Dear technicians, where can I buy a couple of hundreds of those? Everyone place that I find online either want me to be a professional piano technician or they want me to order for large amounts of money.

I have run out of the thicker ones (1 mm and 2 mm).

Could anyone please help me?

I believe they have a retail catalogue you can order from. This company is in Quebec, Canada.

Pianophile sells them in bags of 500. I believe they have a retail price for non-technicians.

Supplies houses only sell to persons who are in the business, all other places who sell to the public will add a markup (unless you have a friend who could buy for you as a favour).

If you are doing tuning and repair frequently enough, I suppose it makes sense to contact them and open an account.

Pianophile is a supply house. Located in Quebec, Canada. They offer retail prices. On a bag of punchings its pennies difference between wholesale and retail..

Pennies difference but half as many. One bag from Schaff has 1000.

How much are we talking....500 for less than 4.00. Iam not familiar with US supplier pricing. I was only pointing out what was available without having a technician account, and smaller amounts, which the OP suggested he was looking for. The pennies different was between wholesale and retail for the same amount from the same supplier...I really don't seem how your comment re: 1000 applies.

Most of the suppliers sell quantities that are appropriate for a tuner/tech but not much for someone who is doing just one piano as a project. On ebay in the Howard Piano Industries store there is a "combination package" with the felt punchings and assorted thicknesses (100 each of 20 sizes) of center and front rail paper/cardboard puchings for $35US. Works good for my situation, but it may not for yours and they only list shipping for U.S. and Canada so this might not even be helpful information any way.

That's a good idea too. I've had some luck doing the same thing with other parts when I buy lots off ebay and only need some of the supplies in the bunch.
