Elton John is pretty good. Nat King Cole was a giant.

Buy some good stock and hold it till it goes up, then sell it. If it don't go up, don't buy it.

Nat Cole was one of those very rare artists who was equally great as both a singer and pianist. I think because he was such an influencial singer his contribution to the world of jazz piano is sometimes underrated. Same goes for Duke Ellington the composer vs. Duke the piano giant.

Elton John, Billy Joel, Ben Folds, Paul McCartney, Freddie Mercury, Tom Lehrer...

I'll figure it out eventually.
Until then you may want to keep a safe distance.

On the piano side:
Norah Jones comes to my mind.
As does Bruce hornsby though his piano is much better than his voice.

On the keyboard side I would have to say Steve Winwood.

She might not be uber-famous, but one of my favorite singers (and plays the piano to boot) is Vienna Teng.

That video is priceless, Ken. Nat Cole is, of course, a legend. Diana Krall is my current favorite singer/pianist although her newest album is not her best IMHO. I've also enjoyed listening to Harry Connick, Jr., Norah Jones, and Dr. John over the years. Let's not forget forum favorites, Peyton, Bill, & Rick as well.

Billy Joel, Sarah McLachlan (I keep misspelling her name, sorry).

Nina Simone, for her brilliant piano playing and passion

Marcia Ball, fantastical rockabilly, boogie-woogie, Texas blues piano playing.

I love watching Marcia Ball, sitting sitting sideways at the keyboard with her legs crossed singing away with her fingers flying.

Ray Charles, of course

Chi Coltrane (I think that was her last name) ... I had an album of hers a long time ago...

Jerry Lee Lewis

Fats Domino

The amazing Stevie Wonder....

Just to name a few......

Chauk me up as a Diana Krall fan (current artist). Billy Joel, Stevie, Dr. John, Elton & Cole come to mind to.

STEVIE WONDER!!! Of course! How could we get this far without mentioning Stevie. A killer voice, a killer songwriter, and a BADASS keyboard player.
