"Connecting Chords with Linear Harmony"

Is this book strictly for jazz .....
or does it apply to chords / harmony in general ?

Would like reviews by any users here ....

Thanks

I am still working on the book. But here's what I got so far:

In terms of theory, this lies in the "chordal" camp. The main concept of this book is to employ 3 main harmonic "outlines" over the typical jazz ii-V-I progression. The book stresses a lot of guide tone playing and how to smoothly connect chord changes. On top of that, it has many real examples from top players demonstrating these "outlines" in real world playing.

So far I find this concept really refreshing from the usual scalar/ modal playing that inevitably leads me to just play a lot of junk notes. My playing seems to have more structure and a direction, not to mention being more concise and clean.
