I'm having some problems trying to find a new teacher. I know it's a long shot as the majority of the people here are based in North America, but are there any teachers out there in West Central Scotland with openings for new students?

I was very successful finding a wonderful teacher through the national music teacher's association. Do you have something similar in your area?

Do Scotland grade schools have music programs? Our elementary school music teacher keeps a list of private music teachers because her students come to her often asking for recommendations. Another suggestion would be to talk to the musicians - pianists, organists - at your local church. If there is a music college or university nearby, call or email the music department. They may know of graduate music students interested in earning a bit of extra income.
