Hey Folks -

This is a re-post from the main forum - the topic has taken on a new urgency because it turns out that I may not be able to receive the RX-3 I bought - the movers can't get around the turn on my stairs. So, I may need to look for an RX-1, and many I've seen are of the BLAK series - I've tried a number of 2008 RX's and loved the action, and I really want to know that I can get the same experience on the latest models:

Has anyone out there played the new Kawai RX 'Black' series? I tried it out and found that the action was substantially lighter than, say, a Kawai 2008 RX (the action on which I really like). There were two pianos right next to one another, one the 'new' BLAK and the other a 2008 model. I did NOT like the newer action - just too light. Has anyone else had this experience? Or was it just all in my head? What is Kawai up to? Could it be adjusted?

Best regards,

Eric

It is my understanding that the actions are the same.
You should PM KawaiDon on this forum. He works for Kawai and can give you the straight scoop on any differences.
