Hi all,

a friend is selling a Young Chang G213, he says it is 7' 2"... and about 15 years old. He bought it new and is a professional musician.

Any idea what this would sell for? I don't believe he's had any work done to it, but had it tuned regularly.

I've had a few preowned ones over the years and kinda felt that they fell into the "bigger is not always better category". They were of a semiconcert size (7') but not any better as for quality,construction,action,hammers etc. than that of a smaller G175 or G185. In 1998 this piano retailed for $18,790 though Korean pianos retailed for more $ back than. A few years later Young Chang had released the PG213 whereas both were of simulaaneous production,the PG being the better piano though retailing for 3-4K more. I wouldn't pay anymore for this piano than a smaller G series Young Chang grand. Longer bass strings doesn't necessarily make the piano better. I guess it depends on how good a friend he is as for a great $ price to his good buddy ! grin
