My son bought a 1920-something Baines full upright piano about 10 years ago and had it completely restored. It had a wonderful touch and great sound. So, a year later he moved to Tokyo and took it with him and now has moved to Hong Kong and has no room for it. He has offered to ship it back to the US to me, but he says that it will need some work by the man who originally restored it. I would love to have a piano again but am not sure that the cost would be worth it. Does anyone know anything about Baines pianos? Apparently, they are rather rare.

Thanks so much for any info you might have.
