Hi I'm new here. I did hit and miss lessons through-out my childhood then spend 24 years raising my kids. Now that they are grown I've started piano lessons and am so motivated to learn to play better. I've taken about 6 months so far....and just played Albert Malotte's "The Lord's Prayer" for my first recital since 8th grade. (I'm in my late 40's)
I am now arranging a piece to play for church in a few months. It is (my own) arrangement of The God of Abram Praise/Awesome God...in D minor. I cannot read music well, but love to create and improvise with what I can read. (with chords mostly)
Its not finished yet and I am stuck at a crucial part of the song. I'd love to post it and have come advice on it. I'm so new to this that I feel I can't critique my own music. I'm currently on a break from my lessons, hopefully in September I can resume.if we have the $$...and would love to have it ready Then.
So tomorrow I will try to upload it here as I see many doing. I've already gleaned so much great information here! So glad I found this forum.
