Unfortunately I have a committment that day as a season's ticket holder of the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA.

Since Frank is there I will mail you some flyers for our first annual cruise in March. Post one if you would and give the rest to Frank.

Jerry and I are really sorry to miss this opening.

I am having a total shoulder replacement the following Thurs. the 17th in Boston, and am having company on top of that this weekend, or else we would be there.

Play pretty for us.

Linda and Jerry

I'll see if I can make it down. I need hotel/motel details. It's about a 3 hour drive for me from Haverhill. I've had no response back from my friend regarding traveling. I'll have to definitely be back by Sunday night because I have school the next day. I'm a kid, I mean full-time student again! smile

Ori –

I have been travelling for the past two weeks, and so am only now able to let you know that I am eagerly looking forward to attending your party on September 13. It will be a wonderful treat to see your new store and to meet the other guests, including Piano World members and, of course, Christian Blüthner. See you on Sunday! grin

Mike

I hope that all turns out well for you Linda in your replacement surgery and we will look forward to seeing both you and Jerry at the Cape Cod party in Oct.

We will miss you at the Allegro Party, and I will try to play 'pretty' for you!

Linda,

I hope all goes well, looking forward to seeing you, Jerry, and the rest of the gang on the Cape in October.

Ori,

We're looking forward to the party, the pianos, and the people (not necessarily in that order :)).

Ori, your new showroom looks wonderful. I'm salivating at the idea of playing those pianos, and your list of stellar guests is enticing.

I'm thinking about coming. I'm busy in the morning though. Maybe if I can drive, I can make it.

My original idea was to take my bicycle on the Metro North train, but it still would be a 5 to 6 mile ride to Allegro, over who knows how hilly terrain. But my morning commitment nixes an early train.

Hope to make it, and hope it's OK to arrive at 3 or so. Stay tuned. If I go, I might be able to offer some New Yorker a ride there from Brooklyn/Queens (I could pick you up at a BQE exit).

Hi Joe,

We’ll gladly have you even if you arrive at 3:00…
It’s a really easy car ride from NYC, and should take no more than 30 – 35 minutes drive once you clear the tolls on the west side highway.
If you’re coming by train, it takes about 44 minute from grand Central, less from 125th street.
There is an express train every hour during the weekend, and there are always taxi cabs waiting at the station.
We’ll be looking forward to both seeing you and hear you play.
Thanks,

Ori

Ori, thanks for your kind note. As you know, I did NOT make it up there. Turned out to be a day for appliance shopping, and as my wife works all week, it had to be today.

Nonetheless, I fully expect to make it up to your showroom one of these days soon. I'm sorry I had to miss the big party. I just know it was fun! I'm looking forward to the reports and pics.

I just wanted to thank Ori for the fine party. Great people, beautiful pianos and showroom, very talented musicians, great food and drink, what more can one ask for. Last night, I had some crazy dreams about a love affair with a Steingraeber 206. Damn, I need a life.

Anyway, congratulations again Ori and much success.

It was nice meeting everyone.

Thank you,

Rick Shapiro

They are coming! I took a bunch of pics but just got home exhausted from a 6 hour auto adventure. I am working on cropping the pics right now but really need to get out and water my plants, which totally got ignored in favor of one big piano celebration!!!

I might start a new thread if no one else has yet.

It was wonderful to get together with the Piano world crowd. It was certainly worth the 90 minute trip from my home. After taking lessons for six months (and practicing on a digital piano), I thought I had a particular piano in mind, and now it is back to the drawing board! I understand that buying a piano is an adventure in itself! Had a wonderful time!

Hotkeys,

It was nice seeing you and all other piano world members!
Thank you for taking the time to drive.

Please check out 'The happening' thread on the piano forum for all the comments and pictures!

I'm sure you wanted, as many others, to play a bit more on the pianos...which was a bit difficult to do with 60 other people wanting to do pretty much the same thing...

Indeed, seeing so many pianos around, so different in tone and character can be quite confusing unless one takes the time to learn the different approaches of these manufacturers, and how these lend themselves to the player's ability to make music!

Of course, this was not possible during the party, with food, drinks, and many enthusiastic pianists eager to play some of these prestigious but elusive, hard to find pianos.

You're always welcome to come back though, and spend some 'quality time' with the pianos.
I'm certain that by doing this we'll be able to sort out the confusion.

Thanks again to all for coming!

Ori

Looks like a huge showroom, and this will be a music school too? That's indeed amazing. Good for the students...
