Do you know the Paraphrases by Borodin, et al.? It is a similar idea, inspired by Borodin's daughter who wanted to play the piano with her father, but only knew how to play a version of Chopsticks.

It's a nice public service spot. I'm sure it must have been inspired by an urban legend that has circulated for years.

The predominant version seems to feature Paderewski as the doting pianist and "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" as the song played by the little boy, but I've seen variations substituting Horowitz as the pianist and/or "Chopsticks" as the song.

Here's the text of the Paderewski/Twinkle version:

http://www.acousticbylines.com/quotes-jokes-stories/paderewski.htm

I'm actually surprised Snopes.com doesn't have an article debunking this ...

A version with Horowitz would likely be the least plausible. At certain points in his career, he probably would have had a nervous breakdown had he come on stage to meet this.

Some pastors have been known to use this story in sermons. How neat that it has been made into a video!
