Hey all

I have been playing piano since January, I take a period for piano in school (I'm 16), but other than that I'm self taught and completely new to music.

I'm trying to work my way to up classical pieces (to play Chopin's Nocturne op9no2 is my dream!) so I'm starting off small.

I can play Bach's Minuet in G Major and I just completed Prelude I in a couple days.

Any suggestions on what to play next?

No suggestions, just wanted to say congrats, sounds like you are making great progress. I wish I had started when I was your age. Keep up the good work!!!!

the prelude I is actually pretty difficult. If you have learned that, then you can learn the Prelude in D major.. (I think it is #5 in WTC 1). It is the most fantastic teaching (or learning) piece on many levels. Simply learning and playing the notes (without thought to the subtetils of submelodies etc.) will teach a finger technique that makes Bach much easier to learn. It's a great dexterity exercise.
