Good morning,

We are currently living/working outside the US of A but will be returning in November. We will bringing our piano back with us to our retirement home in Casa Grande AZ (just south of Phoenix). Getting the piano there is not a problem, we just need somebody at that end that can put it back together and tune it for us? Can anybody recommend a good person/team for this? We would be grateful for any suggestions.

I'd suggest looking online at www.ptg.org for a local tech...you can ask around too, but the (PTG)Guild offers technicians who have been established as meeting professional standards, and if you're flying blind that's how I'd connect with a good tech locally.

You may need a local piano mover, if your movers do not have one to call. You could use the internet Yellow Pages to find one.

Make sure the movers you are using are familiar with how to set up a piano after delivery. If that is an issue, make sure you have a local mover or tuner to assist your movers with this task.

The job of tuning should not be done immediately. Give the piano at least two weeks before the initial tuning. Followup tunings at briefer than normal intervals may be necessary for the first year or so.
