Hi All,

I'm just getting started and I'm looking at a Kawai CE 200 but I've heard the sound quality is not great. I am most interested in getting a good entry level EP and I've heard nothing but good things about the action of this piano.

The closest dealer is 65 miles out of the way and I haven't even checked if they have one in house that I could go listen to for myself.

Hello Spatzie, welcome to the forum!

The CE200 is typically sold through musical instrument chain stores such as Kraft Music and Musician's Friend etc. (a full list can be found via the KAWAI America website), and therefore may not actually be stocked by your local KAWAI dealer, who will usually carry the higher specification CA Series instruments.

Note that the CE200 keyboard action is indeed exactly the same as that found in the CA Series models instruments.

I bought a CE200 as a second piano. I'm satisfied with the sound and I'm very pleased with the action, even with the occasional key sticking up about 1/8 inch until depressed again.
