Kinderszenen is closed out.
I'm thinking about dropping Dichterliebe - it really doesn't work without the interplay of piano and voice - even though the transcription is very good.

Never mind, found the original thread.
So is Grillen (from Fantasiestücke Op. 12) still open? If so, count me in!

salzdt - you may double up with other performers, this is not a one piece/one pianist deal - feel free to sign up for anything you want - nothing is closed out

^Is that a change from the original one person per piece? If so, I'd really like to add Op. 15 no. 1 to the nos. 4 and 8 I am already signed up for. I think it would be tragic not to include a piece I've played every day for probably the last half year. Every day it's different and every day I love it.

- so the day does not pass by and Robert is there wondering what happened. Well, we certainly wouldn't want that to happen, now would we? But where exactly is good old Robert, and is he really in any condition to be "wondering"... just asking Please mark me down for the ubiquitous Op.68, No.1 since it wouldn't be a complete Schumann celebration without it; it does have a simple but sweet "Melody"; and any piece in C Major with the lower staff under control of a G clef throughout is a piece I can probably handle in the relatively early stages of my fantasy piano career. Good luck with this - great idea JF

Is that a change from the original one person per piece? There never was a rule like that for this e-cital. You may be thinking of the CHopin e-cital - they instituted that rule because they want to present the entire corpus on Chopin's birthday and it would have been impossible given our somewhat limited resources to get all of that accomplished without laying out some guidelines. I have not done that here because, frankly, I was never expecting the huge turnout. Papillons Op 2 - DameMyra, Frozenicicles Toccata Op. 7 - sotto voce Carnaval Op 9: Chiarina - Peyton Carnaval Op 9: Chopin - Peyton Fantasiestuecke Op. 12 - (selections) Akonow Fantasiestuecke Op. 12 - (Gillen) OrangeSodaKing Fantasiestuecke Op. 12 - (Warum) Inlanding/Glen; Symphonic Etudes Op 13 - argerichfan; (#2) gooddog (a maybe); Kinderszenen Op 15 #1 (Von Fremden Laendern und Menschen) - Peyton, Gerry Armstrong, HomeInMyShoes, Salzdt Kinderszenen Op 15 #2 (Kuriose Geschichte) - Peyton Kinderszenen Op 15 #3 (Hasche Mann) - Mati Bunte Blaetter Op 99 #4 (Ziemlich langzam) - LaValse Kinderszenen Op 15 #4 (Bittendes Kind) - HomeInMyShoes Kinderszenen Op 15 #5 (Glueckes genug) - Chris W dup1 Kinderszenen Op 15 #6 (Wichtige Begebenheit) - Peyton Kinderszenen Op 15 #7 (Traeumerie) - et. al Kinderszenen Op 15 #8 (Am Kamin) - HomeInMyShoes Kinderszenen Op 15 #9 (Ritter vom Steckenpferd) - Chris W dup1 Kinderszenen Op 15 #10 (Fast zu ernst) - Buck2202 Kinderszenen Op 15 #11(Fuerchtenmachen) - Chris W dup1 Kinderszenen Op 15 #12(Kind im Einschlummern) - Chris W dup1 Kinderszenen Op 15 #13 (Der Dichter spricht) - Horowitzian Fantasie Op 17 - Nyiregyhazi Arabeque, Op. 18 - Heidiv, Carey Novellette Op. 21 #1 - jazzyprof Sonata Op 22 - wr Nachtstuecke - Op 23 #4 Carey; Myrten Op 25 #1 (Widmung); Trans. Yes, it is APril Fool's Day - you fools - but this is no joke 2 months to the Schumann Birthday ecital
For anyone new to this - this recital is a little less restrictive than the Chopin recital - it's a do-your-own-thing recital - I don't care if there are duplicates, or if one person plays more than one piece - 'it's all good' as we dzogchenpa's say - I don't even care if you record somebody else and try to pass it off as Schumann - if it feels RIGHT to you DO IT!
The Chopin recital had certain restrictions because the organizers are trying to get recordings of all of CHopin, and duplicates just sort of mess that scheme up -
But Schumann was such a mess himself that he would probably prefer things this way - more for a multiple personality hallucinogenic hippy kind of ecital -
and the way it works is you select a piece or two you like, sign up here, work it up until you can stand to record it - - - then on a special day close to the recital an announcement will go out unto all lands on this board to send in your stuff, with some notes about the recording process, and the edition etc - - and the software elves will put it all up on line while you sleep - asking only your first born as payment
Here's the list as I believe it to be currently
Papillons Op 2 - DameMyra, Frozenicicles Toccata Op. 7 - sotto voce Allegro in b Op 8 - Daniel Johnson Carnaval Op 9: Chiarina - Peyton Carnaval Op 9: Chopin - Peyton Fantasiestuecke Op. 12 - (selections) Akonow Fantasiestuecke Op. 12 - (Aufschwung) Daniel Johnson Fantasiestuecke Op. 12 - (Fabel) Daniel Johnson Fantasiestuecke Op. 12 - (Gillen) OrangeSodaKing Fantasiestuecke Op. 12 - (Traumes-Wirren) Daniel Johnson Fantasiestuecke Op. 12 - (Warum) Inlanding/Glen; Symphonic Etudes Op 13 - argerichfan; (#2) gooddog (a maybe); Symphonic Etudes Op 13 -(Posthumous) VIca Kinderszenen Op 15 #1 (Von Fremden Laendern und Menschen) - Peyton, Gerry Armstrong, HomeInMyShoes, Salzdt Kinderszenen Op 15 #2 (Kuriose Geschichte) - Peyton Kinderszenen Op 15 #3 (Hasche Mann) - Mati Bunte Blaetter Op 99 #4 (Ziemlich langzam) - LaValse Kinderszenen Op 15 #4 (Bittendes Kind) - HomeInMyShoes Kinderszenen Op 15 #5 (Glueckes genug) - Chris W dup1 Kinderszenen Op 15 #6 (Wichtige Begebenheit) - Peyton Kinderszenen Op 15 #7 (Traeumerie) - et. al Kinderszenen Op 15 #8 (Am Kamin) - HomeInMyShoes Kinderszenen Op 15 #9 (Ritter vom Steckenpferd) - Chris W dup1 Kinderszenen Op 15 #10 (Fast zu ernst) - Buck2202 Kinderszenen Op 15 #11(Fuerchtenmachen) - Chris W dup1 Kinderszenen Op 15 #12(Kind im Einschlummern) - Chris W dup1 Kinderszenen Op 15 #13 (Der Dichter spricht) - Horowitzian Fantasie Op 17 - Nyiregyhazi Arabesque, Op. 18 - Heidiv, Carey, Sarah Elizabeth Novellette Op. 21 #1 - jazzyprof Sonata Op 22 - wr Nachtstuecke - Op 23 #4 Carey; Myrten Op 25 #1 (Widmung); Trans.
