Hi, I was trying to play Jon Schmidt's Love Story version, and at one part where he's replaying the chorus the left hand is playing a syncopated rhythm while the right hand is playing constant semiquavers...how do I practise that type of beat? Somehow my coordination for both hands isn't quite right.

Any help would be appreciated

what's the time signature?

I'm still a beginner, but I break down the timing into the lowest division I need for the given song (say, 16th notes, maybe 32nd, maybe eighth triplet, etc.)
and just work out on WHICH 16th note each of the presses happen on...

exactly..

you then have to put the accents on the proper notes.. the hands will have different accented beats.. it's really quite fun.. just go slowly.
