Sejung 380 new for $1899 or Baldwin Pianovelle PS2600 for $1999? Baldwin and the seller say General Music still sells parts for the Pianovelle, but the phone # they gave me, no one answers. Well, it's Friday, but still. Am inclined to buy newer technology, but in any case I just love the big speakers (bass...ahhh...). Tried the Casio PX-800, nice, but sounds like an upright at best, very weak bass & tinny top. Haven't got any Rolands near me to listen to & don't want anything w/o pedals (Yamaha 635 - I know there's a portable pedal - so far no one on here likes it much)

I want the big sound...I want the big sound....Is Sejung UTTERLY OUT OF THE QUESTION? Anybody actually have one? In the shop a lot? How long did it last? (Comes w one-year warranty) Parts available?

I've been told I'd be better off just hooking up an amp to a Casio Privia PX-800 - true? Do bigger speakers really change something from upright sound to grand sound?

Roland salesman sez Casio no more reliable a brand than Sejung - true? Lot of Casio fans here. He also says I shd worry more about the action than the sound. (Meaning, buy Roland?)

Any other ideas how to get a grand sound for $2000?

Stick with Yamaha, Roland, or Kawai and you will be much happier with the performance and serviceability.
